New BURT’S BEES Liquid & Mattifying Powder Foundation & Brow Pencil OILY SKIN REVIEW & SHADES RANGES

So I’ve been using this Burt’s Bees Foundation since Oct, I’ve had to learn that with this foundation, less is more. Meaning, you using less powder, you use less foundation to keep the natural look, without looking like you have too much foundation on. You can apply powder on your face after moisturizing, but don’t over do it if you want to limit the appearance of oil in your tone. My personal perferance overall is to lightly set and keep it looking more skin-like. Overall I enjoy it for an everyday look, but unfortunately, their shade range is not the best from their foundation to their brow products. If you’ve tried this or wanted to, I would love to hear your thoughts down below.

Hey Kathy, Nooo… I haven’t. I wanted to try the mineral powder foundation, but I think I will give both a try for 2018! Thank you for the tip!

Ms. Karin I thought I would share this tip . I have the same skin type as you and I carry a little buffing brush for creases. I use less touchup powder and avoid cake-face by blotting and buffing the smile lines and any other minor disruptions instead. My favorite is from the Real Techniques Mini Brush Trio, but Ecotools Microblending Concealer Brush, E.L.F. Selfie Ready Blending Perfector or E.L.F Angled Contour Brush all work beautifully. It uses the dewyness that’s present in the skin to blend out the crease without disturbing the look of the foundation.

Makeup Beauty N’Life Tips E.L.F Prime & Stay Finishing Powder really works against oiliness OVER primer. I thought it might contribute to caking but… NO. I’ve been through 4 of these and I keep 4 backups. It is a tiny little compact which makes it easy to keep on hand. Once you hit pan, though , leave it at home or it’ll shatter too easily. It’s $2 but on sale on their website right now for 80 cents. It is the finest milled powder I’ve ever found EVER. If you’re not sure which shade fits, get them all. It can set an eye primer or undereye, adding zero weight. And it goes under foundation so not too risky. I use it sparingly, pressed into primed skin with a soft beauty sponge. When I go through several of something I consider it rave-worthy.

Taking my elf selfie ready brush and putting it in one of those ipsy bags… CHECK… I’m going to test this out with this foundation for sure! You truly have some awesome tips for makeup, and explain them very well Dee!

I used this foundation…it was extremely gray. What I’m loving is the new Physicians Formula Healthy foundation…it’s officially my fav.

Thank you for sharing about the gray tone and the mention of Physician formula! I don’t think I’ve heard of that one. I will have to check it out!

I love your eye makeup tutorials. I have the hardest time with basic eyeshadow application. It never looks right on me.

    • k robi says:

That would be perfect. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas!

    • Makeup Beauty N'Life Tips says:

Thank you K Robi! I have some more coming up soon. If there’s something you’ll like me to focus on, let me know. Maybe I can do a step by step natural basic eyeshadow look.
