Congratulations! I’m a beauty therapist, the reason why they suggest you stay away from spray tanning/self tanners is because when you’re pregnant your hormone levels change and your skin can react differently to the tanning solution. So when you weren’t pregnant the Tan made you a nice brown colour, but you’re now pregnant and you’ve reacted to the tan you’re now a green tinge. Massage – aromatherapy oils actually go into your blood stream which will also go into your baby’s blood stream and will effect them negatively, regular Swedish massage is because of acupressure points and also the movements can be dangerous for an unborn child within the first trimester – always go to a therapist who is trained in pregnancy massage! Xx

My doctor said I can use anything except retinol. Even salicylic acid and glycolic acid is okay (if not overly used). It’s also fine to colour hair (just be in well ventilated room), and don’t eat raw fish, meat and cantaloupes.
